I write about digestion, chronic illness, and recovery. My background combines standard modern medicine and chinese herbal medicine, and I have spent close to two decades working with digestive disorders, many of them complex or long-standing.
Many people encounter explanations that never quite account for their experiences, and they are left wondering why their health issues developed the way that they did. This blog is not meant to offer simple answers. Instead, it explores ideas and perspectives that are often left out from the conversation — including assumptions that influence how digestive issues are interpreted and treated.
I see patterns recurring in my clinical work and in broader conversations, including why some cases respond to treatment and others do not. I am very interested in situations where standardized or protocol-based approaches have limitations, and in what those failures reveal about how a person’s system is actually functioning.
What is shared here comes from experience and study, but the writing and art are intended to stand on their own, independent of any specific treatment or recommendation.
