Layered Insights into Digestion and Healing

I write about digestion, chronic illness, and recovery. My background is in chinese herbal medicine, and I’ve spent close to two decades working with digestive disorders, many of them complex or long-standing.

The writing here is not meant to be prescriptive. It’s an attempt to think through patterns I’ve seen repeatedly in practice, including why some cases respond and others don’t. I’m especially interested in situations where standardized or protocol-based approaches fall short, and in what those failures reveal about how the body is actually functioning.

This site is not medical advice and not a substitute for individualized care. I don’t diagnose or treat outside of practice. The essays are meant as reflection, for readers who want a clearer way of thinking about chronic digestive problems and the assumptions that often guide their treatment.

I publish under a pseudonym to keep the focus on the ideas themselves.
